Video Game Controller(w/ mold)

Part model Picture

A video game controller. Please note the core and cavity molds viewable for the top and bottom bodies. A lot of surfacing features present on this part. Mounting Bosses added using SolidWorks Fastening Features. Created the mold using the Tooling Split feature. Prior to creating the mold feature, drafted appropriate surfaces by a degree or two to accommodate mold ejection. Checked part draft using the Draft analysis feature. The directional pad guard and button guard parts were derived from the top body part. Base surfaces were offset from the top face of the top body part. I chose a Sega controller as the base because the curved surface presents additional challenges in incorporating features into the model. Also, I'm an avid gamer, and remember playing my Genesis years ago(and recently).
